I've started a Pokémon comic a few days ago.
If anyone's interested, it's here.

@Djoing:
COOL!!!

Reply The_mad_one, March 17th, 2014, 1:53 pm

@KameHameHaC12: Obviously the word "COOL" here refers to the Pokémon comic and not Eddie. Who is, in fact, the very opposite of cool.

That's a nice policy.

@Djoing: Your plan of using them istantly is preety good idea. From now eddie will be even more awsome because when I played mega 4-6 eddie always gived me E-tanks. And I had no E-tanks nor weapons quest (not taking some bosses that you HAD to use weapon)

You guys are just torturing yourselves here.

If you used the select electric beam glitch to beat the yellow devil, I don't see why you can't just have a one E-tank per stage policy or something.

@Master_72: They want it to be a challenge. They consider E-tanks instant wins and the Thunder Beam Glitch was not put into the game purposely. Think of it like challenging yourself more than the game tells you to do so, like a nuzlocke.

Reply Alienoid, March 18th, 2014, 1:39 am

@Master_72: Well technically they only used it to get back to where they were before because that game has no passwords.
In MM3 they used an E-Tank to get back to the Wily Stage they were in before the 'incident' happened.

@Master_72: What Alienoid said. We basically WERE cheating on our own rules there, just to get back to the part of the comic that actually mattered. We wouldn't have had to do that if Wily stages (and MM1 in general) had passwords.

I think by now we have demonstrated to be able to beat bosses without E-tanks, usually in a few runs. If we used even a single E-tank, they would be almost twice as easy, probably making the game no challenge at all. If playing the game in a moderately challenging way is torture, then it is also torture for people to play the series (considered challenging by many) in the first place.

Having said that, I notice Dj's choice of words is a bit unfortunate, implying that people who DO use E-tanks are cheaters.

We are only referring to our own set of rules here, as constructed way back in Mega Man 2 where E-tanks were introduced. There's nothing wrong with using E-tanks, we just set a rule for ourselves not to do so, to balance the game out for ourselves.
