The E-tanks really are a brilliant way of having a different sort of strategy. One that spans over the whole game, rather than a single stage. You can use an E-tank to defeat a boss, but you could also save it up for the event of an even more difficult boss, so you do have to use them with caution. In our case it isn't really like that, since we've had 9 E-tanks ever since defeating the second stage of the game.
Our not using E-tanks is just an extra layer of difficulty on top of all this though. Because we like making things tough for ourselves.

I certainly don't blame Alienoid for using one.

@Djoing: @The_mad_one
Would you say that not using E-tanks is sort of a Mega Man equivalent to a Pokémon Nuzlocke?

@Djoing: @The_mad_one:
Yellow Devil seems overrated in this version. Slide and the other types of weapons make him far too easy than in one. Even his apperance isn't that menacing...

You know, when you go for Megaman 4, Play Megaman 4 Minus Infinity. Same Plot yet MORE FUN...

And Deaths, lots of terryfing Deaths. You are seriously going to use the E-Tanks according to what I have seen from you :D

@MarkTheHedgehog: I'll look that up.

@MarkTheHedgehog: Nah, we're going with the original games.

Too bad. Megaman 4 Minus Infinity brings bosses from previous games as secret bosses and some from other games like Quint as Minibosses. Even Toadman would make you cry out in frustration.

How about you just ask your fans what they would prefer?

Go for the Minus Infinity of Megaman 4! Seriously, give it a chance!

@MarkTheHedgehog: Maybe they could do this as a side project. That way, they can work a bit on that while working on WCDA.

I say them playing Megaman 4 MI should be a reality.

@ShinyHoundoom229: Ditto

@Smugleafdoofus3: don't say it.

Good as Rockman 4 MI is lets at least wait until they've beaten the classic games before recommending something the core of it is a tribute for longtime fans of the series.

This does make me think however. Do you guys plan on doing the Game Boy classic Megaman games or just stick to the NES ones?

Reply Nirvana star, November 30th, 2012, 3:39 am

I don't think fan games are particularly suitable for this comic...

I mean, half the fun of this comic is them mocking the makers of the game.

Reply Smugleafdoofus3, November 30th, 2012, 4:12 am

@hedge the hog: It meant Alienoid won against the Yellow Devil MkII and Mad lost against the same thing.

Reply MarkTheHedgehog, November 30th, 2012, 10:26 am

@Nirvana star:
You can easily make fun of creators of Megaman Minus Infinity...

no wait @Smugleafdoofus3: I was talking about how you say pokemon and then I would cause I just said ditto. U know what I mean.

We've given it some thought but we're still deciding against playing fanmade games, no matter how good they are.

The point of this comic is to beat the Mega Man games. What I gather from the Minus Infinity game is that it's a completely different game with different bosses, different weapons, and different stages. It seems as though only the sprites and plot will be the same.

That's not what this comic was intended to do and we wouldn't like to abandon its core intention like that, sorry.
