I was surprised at how quickly I defeated him when I used the proper weapon.

Reply Erdnaxel, December 28th, 2010, 3:58 pm

@Lasercatz Who wouldn't look stupid with such a ugly never-changing face?

Don't you mean...How QUICK you defeated him?!

Reply Klonoa64, December 29th, 2010, 12:39 am

yeaaaahhhh... you guys shouldnt have used item 2 on the last part, there is a part later where you really need it

Reply Neon-J, December 29th, 2010, 10:57 am

Quickman's weapon is his weakness? I thought it was the Mega Buster, as that always seemed to destroy him pretty quick for me.

Reply Shadow_Da_Hedgie, December 29th, 2010, 11:21 am

TMO fails more that DJ. XP

Reply n47h4n, December 30th, 2010, 5:23 am

Yeah. I just used the Megabuster on him and it worked pretty well.
This guy is nothing compared to the friggin' Yellow Devil.
I still haven't beaten that guy...

(Or use the pause trick in stead of me... ^^')
(I doubt either option would be satisfying...)

Hark! He hath slayed the mecha dragon~!
And the ale flows free into the flagons~!
For tonight we celebrate the dragons death~!
(Sure beats being stuck on meth)

Reply Klonoa64, January 1st, 2011, 8:09 pm

if your not already on megaman 3 yet... we should get a lot of people and see who can get the least deaths.

... hey wait a minute, how would that work

Reply The_mad_one, January 2nd, 2011, 4:38 pm

@Klonoa64 and all other readers We haven't started 3 yet, we'll probably wait till all the pages of MM2 are done.

We might involve readers some time, but I don't really know how we could do that yet. It would be quite complicated to match someone dying 100 times in a stage to someone who clears it in one run.

You've got me to think about it and the best idea I have right now is as follows:

When the last page of a stage is uploaded, a page of the next stage we'd play would follow. People can then play that stage and send us detailed reports of their actions and deaths, as well as an 8bit sprite with bio. We then combine our story with all the reports into a mixed result. When the last page of a stage is up, further reports will be ignored.

There's some serious issues remaining with this plan:
÷ There might be over a 100 reports, we have no idea how many people would participate.
÷ Such amounts would make for a very, very crowded stage.
÷ All these reports would mean a lot of reading and matching, delaying the update rate a lot.
÷ Many different people means we won't be able to check all the characters in their comics (or we would lose much time on that) and thus we'd probably get their characters wrong a lot.
÷ The death report would end up huge.
÷ The story of Djoing and me might not be what actually happened anymore when we blend other people in.

There's some possible solutions, but I dunno about those. Solutions + problems:
÷ Limiting the amount of reports would make a hard decision of the allowed amount. It also gives trouble with people that send the report in episodes since they might quit halfway, though having them get left behind could solve that I suppose.
÷ Selecting only the reports we like will annoy unchosen people.
÷ Randomly selecting a limited amount of reports could work, though it also feels unfair to me.
÷ Putting the other people in a seperate story/seperate stories would make this comic chaotic and also beats the purpose of including other people.

That's all my thoughts as of now, I think. Please feel free to add suggestions/opinions in comments or private messages (comments may have other people read and add to your ideas!). Note, though, that we might not accept your suggestion. We will always say why, but be prepared for that. ; )

doesnt matter. if TMO dies more than Dj. He is still better

Reply bartekolo, May 3rd, 2012, 3:01 am

I have defeated it just with mega buster! O.o

Reply Shadow_Da_Hedgie, May 16th, 2012, 3:02 pm

@bartekolo: If you can mash the button fast enough, it's just as effective as the Boomerang. But the main reason the boomerang works so well against both this boss and the GutsTank is because if you hold down the button, it rapidfires on its own VERY fast. Robot masters have invincibility frames which prevents this from affecting them. Fortress bosses don't, so each boomerang that hits during the rapid fire does damage, which adds up to ALOT.
